Tai Chi originates from China where it is practised by people from all walks of life and levels of ability. It is a form of exercise open to everyone. Tai chi is an exercise system that has its roots in Chinese culture, history and behaviour, it is for health, fitness and martial arts, its circular, controlled and theraputic movement make it at once powerful and beauitiful.
The Taiji syllibus comes in modern and traditional styles. Modern through the Chinese Wushu Association, CWA, and Traditional from full time study with our Chinese Master, Master Zhu Chang Hai 7th Duan Wei examiner, 5th generation Yang, 8th generation Tanglangquan, 20th generation Chen. Once learned it is used to promote health in body, mind, and spirit. It reduces stress, can be done by adults of any age, any time anywhere, from beginner to advanced levels.
The Tai Chi syllibus, the five pillars, starts with hand forms,weapons forms then pushing hands. Studies in Qigong, chinese medicine and philosophies, Budhhist, Confucian and Daoist are added and can be developed by the student into an effective lifestyle programme, complete martial art, or sport following the intention of each individual. Tai Chi or Taiji forms currently taught:- Modern:- 24 yang style, 42 Combined form, 42 Taijijian, sword, Sun 31. Traditional:- 85 Yang Laojia, Chen Yi Lu Laojia, Chen Dao shu, Broad sword, Wu Style Dao shu. Terence and Isabel are both qualified by the CWA at 4th Duan Wei. Terence studies under Master Zhu 7th Duan Wei who holds linages in Yang and Chen and mantis / Qing ping styles. Research showns Tai chi Can help you:-
